IT HAPPENS ON PS5
CREATOR MARKETING // PR + CULTURE STRATEGY
Three Irish Artists. THree PS5 Worlds.
We invited three Irish creators to explore a PS5 universe that meant something to them and create a response inspired by it.
What they produced reached far beyond gaming. Their work connected with wider communities and captured moments that could only happen on PS5, staying with you long after the game ends.
The insight behind it is simple. PS5 moments don’t stay in the game. The stories, the thrills, the visuals all leave a lasting impression.
The work of these Irish creators brings that to life.
It Happens on PS5.
Epic storytelling, painted in sand
Filmmaker and artist Manuel Frölich chose God of War Ragnarök, not just for the epic gameplay, but for the relationship at its centre. “As a dad, it really hit home, and stayed with me long after I’d finished the game.”
He took that feeling to the Irish coastline and painted Kratos and Atreus at monumental scale in the sand,“Creating a memory that lasts, even after the sea has washed it away.”
the frenzied fun of a Playstation classic
Illustrator Aaron Fahy went back to a game he’s loved since 2002. His Ratchet & Clank piece captured what he called “the colourful, noisy, non-stop panicked frenzy” of a franchise that never fails to get the heart racing.
inspired by the cinematic beauty of a modern masterpiece
Make-up artist Keilidh Cashell was drawn to Ghost of Yōtei’s use of traditional art and dramatic colour, particularly the yellow of the ginkgo leaf, which became the centrepiece of a look that was, in her words, “a bit different, but still glam.”
