From Streets to Stages:
Three Champions Emerging Talent
In 2024, Three Ireland’s City Stages initiative continued its mission to support emerging musical talent in Ireland, bringing buskers from city streets to iconic stages. As part of its All For Music platform, City Stages culminated in a standout activation at Electric Picnic, showcasing a new collective of buskers who performed for festival-goers, thanks to Three.
Mentorship and Collaboration:
This year, Three enlisted Irish music legend Imelda May as a mentor to support the City Stages Collective in preparation for their Electric Picnic performance. Together with Camden Recording Studios’ Cian Boylan, Imelda provided each artist with invaluable guidance, from refining their sound to mastering the festival stage. This mentorship was central to the campaign, offering artists a transformative experience.
Electric Picnic Activation:
At Electric Picnic, the City Stages Collective took to the Three Music Stage, delivering an impressive performance that included solo and group sets. The show culminated in a group collaboration, drawing a large crowd and further spotlighting these rising talents.
To further elevate the experience, each artist also held exclusive solo slots at the Three Charge and Chill area throughout the weekend. These performances offered intimate showcases tailored for influencers, media, and Three Plus customers, providing a unique, up-close look at the artists’ talent.
Media and Social Engagement:
City Stages received significant attention, with 169 pieces of earned media, reaching over 17.5 million people across Ireland. Social bolstered the campaign on Instagram and TikTok, reaching a combined audience of 4.9 million. Positive sentiment was high, with audiences expressing strong support for Three’s investment in Irish music talent.
“City Stages 2024 captured the spirit of emerging talent and the dedication of Three to fostering Irish music. Through mentorship, high-profile performances, and strategic media engagement, the initiative successfully connected new artists with wider audiences and solidified Three’s role as the leading music brand in Ireland.”
